Britain’s biggest grocer is setting up a new chain of stores selling mostly British products at reduced prices.
It said that Jack’s, named after the Jack Cohen who founded Tesco, would be the cheapest in town.
The first two Jack’s stores open today in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, and Immingham, Lincolnshire. Up to 15 more will open this year as Tesco prepares to mark its centenary.
