CBRE has appointed Chiara Zuccon, formerly RBS’s head of PRS, to lead debt origination in its development and residential investment team.
At RBS, Zuccon was responsible for deploying £1bn of senior lending across the UK private rented sector. She previously worked in the bank’s structured finance team and has also led work in the student housing, co-living and retirement sectors.
In her new role as senior director at CBRE, Zuccon will work with the firm’s UK development team – led by Peter Burns and Zoe Bignell – and the debt and structured finance team – led by Paul Coates, who also joined CBRE from RBS earlier this year.
Zuccon’s appointment also follows the arrival of Richard Day, who leads debt origination and advisory within CBRE’s London investment team.
Burns said: “Zuccon’s expertise in the UK PRS space will strengthen our offering, providing another advisory capability.”
Coates added: “Clients are looking for optionality around transactions and want combined real estate and financial solutions.
“We now have our development and residential capital markets team working with corporate finance experts, which I believe is a powerful proposition.”
