Channel 4 will establish a new regional office in Leeds following a hard-fought nationwide competition to attract investment from the publicly owned broadcaster.
About 300 staff will work at a new “national headquarters” in the West Yorkshire city, which defeated rivals Manchester and Birmingham in the final stage of a process that began with more than 30 contenders.
Most Channel 4 staff will continue to work at its London headquarters in Westminster.
