Spotify backer bets on online estate agent Nested

A fledgling online estate agent that allows homeowners to buy their next property chain-free by providing a cash advance has raised £120m from backers of Spotify, Betfair and Revolut.

Nested offers movers an advance worth up to 94% of the value of the property they are selling so they can pay cash for their new one. The rest of the value is paid when their old home sells.

Nested was established in 2015 by three entrepreneurs, including Matt Robinson, who co-founded payments provider GoCardless. The London-based company employs nearly 100 people. It has so far helped more than 400 homeowners in the capital to move.
