Aprirose ramps up hotels ambition with double hire

Aprirose has expanded its hotels team with two new management appointments.

The real estate investment company has hired Kym Kapadia from Michels & Taylor as chief commercial officer. She was a founding partner at her previous firm as well as board member for 11 years. She has also worked for IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Le Méridien and Whitbread (Premier Inn).

Aprirose has also hired Bastien Anouil from Columbus Hotel Monte Carlo as asset manager. He was general manager at his former firm, where he spent almost eight years. He began his career at Starwood Hotels and Resorts World Wide at Le Méridien, Nice.

The appointments come after London & Regional’s Tim Shearman joined the firm as chief executive of the hotels division in June.

The company has 37 hotels with 5,576 bedrooms under management. Its recent hotel acquisitions include the QHotels business for £525m in September 2017.

Manish Gudka, chief executive at Aprirose, said: “Our hotel business continues to go from strength to strength, making it the perfect time to develop our offer further… Kym and Bastien will be great additions as we aim to capitalise on the momentum we have achieved since the acquisition of the QHotels portfolio.”
