Cushman raids JLL for new head of logistics

Cushman & Wakefield has recruited the lead director of JLL’s UK logistics group to be its new head of logistics and industrial.

Richard Evans is joining the firm next spring, having spent 16 years at JLL advising investor, developer and corporate clients on strategic industrial and logistics transactions, with a focus on major industrial sales and acquisitions and large-scale leasing mandates.

Evans will be responsible for leading Cushman’s 30-strong team, working alongside international partner Gordon Reynolds and partner Simon Lloyd. Evans will report to Robert Hall, chair of EMEA logistics and industrial.

Hall said: “Richard is one of the most respected figures in the UK big box logistics market, working on the biggest schemes and with the biggest clients.

“His arrival shows how serious we are about building up our UK platform. The sheds market is a big growth area for us, right across our EMEA business, and we will continue to strengthen to ensure we are delivering outstanding service to our investor, developer and corporate clients.”
