Chancerygate has appointed Mark Garrity to lead the company’s development programme in the Midlands and unveiled plans to open a new office in Birmingham, where Garrity will be based.

The firm is aiming to develop more multi-unit industrial schemes in the region following its successful development of a 75,530 sq ft warehouse unit at Pilot Business Park in Coventry, which was prelet to luxury flooring company Amtico and forward-funded by M&G Real Estate.
Garrity joins Chancerygate from Kier Property Developments, where he was a senior development manager specialising in sourcing development opportunities in the East and West Midlands.
Chancerygate managing director, Richard Bains, said: “The opening of a Midlands office is a very important part of our expansion strategy and, as we have done in the North West, we feel that appointing a local team to identify opportunities is the optimal way to penetrate a new market.
“Mark’s extensive development experience and market knowledge means he is ideally suited to leading this strategy.”
