London Square has appointed Mark Evans as chief operating officer.
Evans has 25 years’ experience in property. He will join the luxury London flats developer in the new year.
He comes from the role of residential managing director at Shanly Homes and previously worked at Turner & Townsend and Berkeley Homes.
At London Square he will be responsible for production, delivery and sales and will report to London Square chief executive Adam Lawrence.
Lawrence said: “Mark will be joining us at an important point in the evolution of London Square and will play a key role in the company’s expanding presence in the capital to deliver much-needed homes of all tenures.”
Evans said: “I have been impressed with London Square’s rapid progression over the past decade.
“It is exciting to be joining a strong management team and I look forward to working with Adam Lawrence and the senior directors to build on the company’s position as a leading residential developer in Greater London and deliver a new chapter of growth.”
London Square has a pipeline of £2bn, and seeks to build 1,000 homes a year through partnerships with housing associations, local authorities and government agencies.
Last month it secured £200m in refinancing from Natwest, HSBC, Allied Irish Bank GB and Pricoa Capital, which it said would help to fund its ambitious pipeline.
