Former Chris Stewart Group development director dies aged 53

Chris Vaughan

Chris Vaughan, a former development director at Chris Stewart Group, died on 5 January after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Vaughan, who died aged 53, joined the business in 2014. His projects included the Courtyard Marriott Edinburgh on Baxter’s Place and The Registers at St Andrew Square in Edinburgh.

Before he joined CSG, Vaughan worked as development director for companies including Helical Poland, Northstar Developments and Kenmore.

He qualified as a chartered surveyor with Weatherall Green & Smith in 1993.

The Chris Stewart Group said: “It is with great sadness that we announce that Chris Vaughan passed away on Saturday 5 January 2019, after a lengthy and dignified battle with cancer.

“Husband to Anna, father to Jamie and Isla, and a friend to many, Chris will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”

A service will be held in Edinburgh in early February.
