Cushman partner quits for Knight Frank

Knight Frank has hired Cushman & Wakefield’s Matthew Stretton to head up its capital markets team in Manchester.

Matthew Stretton

Stretton has been a partner at Cushman & Wakefield’s Manchester office since 2012 and is expected to take on the role after three months of gardening leave.

The move marks a return to Knight Frank for Stretton, who started his career in 2000 as a graduate surveyor at the firm before spending a decade at JLL’s capital markets business.

His new role will effectively replace Steve Carrick, who was the head of investment at Knight Frank’s Manchester office for nine years before leaving to start his own firm, Carrick Real Estate, in September 2017.

Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield declined to comment.
