Charity and social: Winter sports fans flock to PropSki

More than 350 of property’s finest – from graduate level up to directors, partners and founders – gathered in Chamonix last month for another PropSki event.

It was a record attendance for the annual ski trip to the French Alps, which began in 2013 with 100 people making the trip to Val Thorens. This year attendees opted for the full week or half-week packages. The event ran from networking and welcome drinks events to a mountain meal, night racing, a ski tour, mountain challenge and the Josh Carrick Foundation Quiz.

EG also staged a Question Time at the event with panellists Chris Walters, director of strategic development consulting at JLL, David Mann, executive partner at Tuffin Ferraby Taylor and co-founder of Freehold, Cassandra Wheeldon, director of partnerships for the UK and Ireland at WiredScore, and Andy Williams, CFO of Runway East, fielding questions on development, diversity and disruption from a packed room of attendees.

As well as EG, this year’s event was sponsored by Adventure in Architecture, Aston Rose, Barwood Capital, EB7 Immersive, Freedman + Hilmi, Goldcrest Land, GVA Worldwide, ITC, JLL, Legal & Contingency, Macdonald & Company, MJ Mapp, Paragon Building Consultancy, U+I Group and Veritas Maintenance & Security.

“PropSki goes from strength to strength,” said Will Chambers, who leads the PropSki committee.

“We aim to be affordable, accessible and inclusive. 2019 was our biggest and most professional yet, with more than 350 like-minded property professionals forging new business relationships and friendships on the slopes. A big thank-you to the sponsors, delegates, and, the monumental efforts by the committee – without them this simply wouldn’t be possible.”
