Try some net curtains, judge tells residents in Tate Modern balcony row

People who live in glass houses may wish to consider net curtains after a judgment at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Residents of glass-walled flats overlooked by a viewing platform at Tate Modern have lost their case against the gallery because a judge concluded that they had sacrificed their own privacy.

The owners of four flats in the Neo Bankside development claimed that the gallery had breached their right to privacy by opening a balcony that offers panoramic views of London, including their building about 50 metres away. They sought to get Tate to close off one side of its platform but it refused.
