Katherine Parker has joined Arrow Capital Partners as a partner and head of investment management, Europe, from Tesco Pension Investment.
In leaving her role as senior fund manager and head of UK and Europe at the pension fund she links up with her former Cromwell Europe (previously Valad Europe) colleagues Martyn McCarthy and Christian Bearman.
Backed by AMB Capital, one of Australia’s largest family offices, Arrow was set up in 2015 in Sydney by managing partner McCarthy and partner and former Brookfield exec Kurt Wilkinson. Its expansion into Europe kicked off last summer with the recruitment of Bearman as head of Europe.
The company “targets equity and debt opportunities, specialising in cross-border transactions where it can use its platform and balance sheet to invest with US and Asia-Pacific investors into Europe, as well as European and US investors into the Asia-Pacific region”.
Parker has more than 15 years’ experience in the real estate industry focused on investment, asset management, debt and fund management activities for several funds in multiple jurisdictions.
She was a senior fund manager at Valad Europe, where she invested in France, Germany and the UK across the office, retail, leisure and logistics sectors. She was responsible for all aspects of stock selection, acquisition, financing and the asset management process for several funds and mandates.
Bearman said: “We are delighted that Katherine is joining the team at such an exciting moment in our development as we set our sights on expanding our investment platform across Europe and Asia. Her impressive track record of investing in and asset managing European real estate assets across sectors will add further quality and depth to our growing European team.”
Parker added: “I’m looking forward to teaming up once again with some familiar faces at Arrow Capital Partners. Marty, Christian and the team have been building a long-term sustainable investment management business with huge potential, focussed on several urban themes including ‘last touch’ urban logistics, light industrial and office repositioning.”
