Maloneview has received the go-ahead for a £70m redevelopment of Sale town centre in Greater Manchester.
Trafford Council gave planning permission for the developer to revamp The Square Shopping Centre, providing more than 36,500 sq ft of retail and leisure space and 202 new homes.
Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore submitted plans to the council last year.
Maloneview commercial director Mark Rebbeck said: “Residents and the business community of Sale have also got behind the town centre regeneration, which will revitalise the town centre.
“Our plans will help transform Sale town centre and provide local residents with retail and leisure facilities that will not only support the community but also help make it a destination for people outside of the area to visit, shop and socialise with friends and family.”
