WeWork has leased the entire space at 12 Moorgate, EC2, its 49th location in London.
Located between Bank and Moorgate stations in the City, the building offers around 30,000 sq ft of offices, according to Radius Data Exchange.
WeWork will house 700 new members over eight floors in the building in Q3 this year.
In the UK, the company already has more than 35 office locations, hosting 45,000 members, across London and Manchester, and a further 13 sites announced.
David Kaiser, head of WeWork UK & Ireland, real estate said: “Over the last five years, our portfolio in London has rapidly expanded due to the demand we are seeing for this new way of working. London attracts all types of companies: large corporations, small and medium sized businesses, and hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs; and it is this mix of companies that we will be welcoming to 12 Moorgate.
“The building is situated in the heart of the City of London, where we have 15 open and announced locations. This means our new members will be able to meet with current members in existing nearby locations, and collaborate on their doorstep – a third of our London members say that other WeWork members have given them ideas on how to improve their businesses.”
WeWork worked closely with Gavin Kamara of Kontor Space on the deal. Knight Frank is understood to have advised SRE (the landlord) on the letting.
