Aprirose has launched an Asia-Pacific desk to support increasing interest from its Greater China clients in UK property market investments.
It will focus on co-ordinating inbound cross-border activity between South East Asia and the UK.
Shijun Liu, former finance director at Chinese developer Wanda One, has been appointed as investment director, Asia-Pacific, to lead the desk. He will also be responsible for developing and managing international client relationships, including identifying potential investors and assisting with existing property investments, as well as supporting their international business requirements in the UK.
Liu spent 13 years at Wanda One as a senior M&A manager and finance director, developing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, developing financial models and advising on valuations and managing client relationships.
Gary Jones, chief operating officer at Aprirose, said: “Aprirose has a strong pedigree in helping Asia-Pacific investors with expanding their international real estate interests. The Asia-Pacific desk enables us to build upon this track record by providing our clients with dedicated access to the latest market insights in relation to the opportunities which exist in the UK.”
In 2018, Greater China continued to be the world’s largest deployer of real estate investment in the central London office market, with £3.48bn invested, Aprirose said.
