Charity and social: Heronslea boss fights for Future Dreams

Jason Rishover, chief executive of residential developer Heronslea Group, punched above his weight for charity as he stepped into the ring for the first time at the annual Future Dreams Fight Night.

The charity boxing event, held at the Sheraton Park Lane hotel, raised more than £475,000 for women affected by breast cancer. Rishover (centre) competed against other amateur boxers in several rounds of white-collar boxing in front of hundreds of supporters and guests.

Strettons runs half marathon for Wickers

A team of runners from Strettons are lacing up their trainers in preparation for this year’s Hackney Half Marathon. The firm will be fundraising for Hackney-based charity The Wickers, which provides support to the borough’s young people. The charity aims to reduce gang-related crime in east London by providing role models and workshops for learning, recreational activities and education opportunities, demonstrating ways to create a positive future. To donate, go to www.strettons.link/hackney-half-2019

Willmott Dixon Classic riders back Acton Medical Research

The 2019 Willmott Dixon Classic cycling event drew 170 keen cyclists from as far afield as Newcastle and Cardiff to Turweston Aerodrome in ­Northamptonshire to raise funds for Acton Medical Research, which helps save and change the lives of children. The event has raised more than £150,000 in the past three years.

Bristol TRYathlon supports Malcolm Gunter Foundation

Bristol’s biggest property sporting event, the Bristol TRYathlon 2019, takes place on 31 May at Tockington Manor School. All money raised this year will be donated to the Malcolm Gunter Foundation, set up in memory of property professional Malcolm Gunter, which supports individuals and families affected by motor neurone disease. For more information go to www.colliers.com/en-gb/uk/about/events/bristol-tryathlon-2019
