Intu has appointed former Crest Nicholson chief financial officer Robert Allen as CFO.
Allen will officially join the shopping centre landlord next Monday. Interim CFO Barbara Gibbes will resume her position as director of finance.
Allen was CFO of Crest Nicholson for two years until 2018. Prior to this, he held various positions during 18 years with British American Tobacco, including regional finance controller EEMEA from 2012-2016, and head of corporate finance and group treasurer from 2009-2012.
Before British American Tobacco, Allen held a corporate finance M&A role at Charterhouse Bank from 1996-1998.
Intu chief executive Matthew Roberts said: “I am delighted that Robert is joining us. He will bring to intu his extensive and highly relevant experience of refinancings, M&A, treasury, IT and investor relations, helping drive our strategy of delivering strong underlying centre performance, adapting to the fast-changing retail environment and making smart use of capital.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Barbara Gibbes for undertaking this role on an interim basis.”
