Five people have been arrested as part of an escalating investigation into an alleged fraud at Patisserie Valerie that led to the UK café chain being plunged into administration earlier this year. The Serious Fraud Office confirmed that as part of its investigation into the company’s collapse it made the arrests last week in a joint operation with London’s Metropolitan Police and forces in Hertfordshire and Leicestershire.
