Beauty shares lose gloss after Amazon deepens push into space

Shares in some of the US’s biggest beauty and cosmetics groups lost their shine on Monday after Amazon unveiled a fresh push into the space. Ulta Beauty, the speciality beauty retailer, along with Sally Beauty and Revlon, two of the country’s biggest makers of mass-market cosmetics, all took a leg lower, clocking losses of between 3 per cent and over 14 per cent.
