With Wimbledon mania hitting Britain this week, Barnett Ross co-founder John Barnett (pictured left) has announced that he has been selected to represent Team GB in the 80-plus age group at the International Tennis Federation Super Seniors World Championships later this year.
Barnett has been selected to play in a team of four representing Great Britain at the championships in Croatia in September.
To celebrate his selection, Barnett plans to auction the first lot at the firm’s July auction using his tennis racquet rather than his gavel.
The firm’s third auction of the year will take place on 17 July at the Churchill Hyatt Regency London in Portman Square, W1, and will comprise around 40 lots ranging from £15,000 to in excess of £1.2m.
Auction highlights include a mixed-use building comprising a clinic, car park and five flats on Edgware High Street, Middlesex, which currently produces an income of £80,859 a year and is being offered at a guide price of in excess of £1.2m.
It also includes a shop on Market Street in Guildford, Surrey, currently let to Hotel Chocolat, which produces £52,500 a year and is being offered on a freehold basis with a reserve price below £750,000.
