UK online beauty shop The Hut Group’s sales up a quarter

UK online health and beauty retailer The Hut Group has reported a 24 per cent rise in sales in the past year, tipping it back into profit despite heavy spending on acquisitions. The owner of skincare brands such as Espa and Mankind had sales of £916m and an operating profit of £16.6m, compared with a £4m loss last year, even after acquiring beauty products manufacturer Acheson & Acheson for £53m, eye make-up brand Eyeko and translation company Language Connect during the year.
