Diageo to move its global HQ to Soho

Diageo is to move its global headquarters from the Park Royal business park, NW10, to Turner House at 16 Great Marlborough Street, W1.

The drinks giant will consolidate its 900 employees currently spread across London into the 105,000 sq ft building owned by Lazari Investments in spring 2021, slashing its current amount of office space (200,000 sq ft) by nearly half.

Turner House was previously majority-let to global media firm Turner Broadcasting, part of Warner Media, which operates brands including CNN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and TCM, which is vacating the property for a new HQ at Great Portland Estates, 160 Old Street, EC1.

It will undergo a complete refurbishment before Diageo occupies the 11-storey property, and will also provide an immersive customer collaboration centre and brand experience, showcasing the best of the off and on-trade and the creation of some of the company’s iconic brands.

A dedicated retail experience will also be open to the public, enabling consumers to purchase Diageo’s brands such as Ciroc vodka and Tanqueray gin.

Mairéad Nayager, chief HR officer at Diageo, said: “We are excited to be bringing our people together at last under one roof and closer to our consumers.

“Our new headquarters will provide the most inclusive of working environments for all of our people and enable us to retain and attract the best talent in the future.”

Diageo was advised by JLL. Lazari Investments was advised by Knight Frank and CBRE.
