Foreign interest in buying homes in London’s most expensive postcodes is waning.
In the second half of last year foreign buyers were behind 58 per cent of purchases in areas such as Belgravia, Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Chelsea. This fell to 44 per cent in the first half of this year, according to Hamptons International, the upmarket estate agent.
