There have, however, been some job losses at Drumduan School in Forres, Moray, which needed to raise £36,000 to continue to pay its staff.
Crowdfunding raised almost £9,400 and more than £300,000 has been pledged from small investors through Ekopia, a community benefit co-operative, which will purchase a share in the grounds and buildings.
