Housing association Aster Group has reported a 10% increase in pretax profit to £55m for the year ended March 2019.
Revenue rose by 3.4% from £205m to £212m.
The group completed 1,156 homes last year, including 453 for shared ownership and 600 for social and affordable rent. It plans to build a further 1,100 homes this year and spend £55m on improving existing stock.
Bjorn Howard, group chief executive of Aster Group, said: “Continuing strong financial performance and our not-for-dividend model are why we are now able to embark on one of our biggest ever years of investment.
“Looking ahead, we are confident we have the platform to continue our work in boosting the supply of high-quality affordable housing across the south of England.”
