Estate agents and surveyors are pessimistic about London’s housing market, with sales expectations falling to their lowest level since last November.
Buyer inquiries and instructions to sell fell in August as political uncertainty hit the market, according to a survey by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
The number of respondents who said that they expected sales to grow in the next three months slid from a balance of -15 per cent in July to -41 per cent, the weakest return since November 2018. Sales expectations fell in almost all parts of the UK, the institution said.
