JLL has launched a new technology business division, which will be headed by Mihir Shah (pictured, left) and Yishai Lerner (right).
The agent has set up JLL Technologies and says the new division will “expand its technology and digital initiatives and accelerate innovation in commercial real estate for its investor and occupier clients”.
Shah and Lerner, who have headed up the agent’s venture capital fund, JLL Spark, have been appointed to oversee JLL Technologies and will join the company’s global executive board.
Under Shah and Lerner’s leadership, JLL Spark has invested in 14 proptech start-ups across the world.
JLL Spark will now become part of JLL Technologies.
JLL chief executive Christian Ulbrich said: “JLL is embracing technology to meet the needs of clients today and anticipate the opportunities of tomorrow. We are reshaping the future of work and the built environment.
