A retail one-stop shop in the making

Retailpropertymarket.com aims to provide usable data for professionals. Adam Tinworth reports

Who says that all the best domain names have gone? Retailpropertymarket.com is a good, clear name that states exactly what the site is about – and the site isn’t even fully live yet. This new venture is in the “soft launch” phase of development, meaning that it is online and usable, but lacks some features and is still being tested.

The site’s Steven Weatherstone says that it is targeted directly at retail property professionals. The front page is devoted to regularly updated news on the sector. Dive a little deeper and you will find such features as property listings. There is also a searchable database of requirements.

Another section is a searchable listing of contacts in the retail property market. The site is free for users, but advertisers pay £75 plus VAT for a three-month listing.

Other sections to be added include an area to share comparable evidence, which many sites charge for; a directory of retail parks and shopping centres with links through to available property; and a deals section.
