addleshaw-goddard-logoAddleshaw Goddard has announced four key hires from rival firm King & Wood Mallesons, intended to further strengthen its expanding real estate business.

The firm has recruited William Boss, Luke Harvey, Michael Scott and Simon Tager from King & Wood Mallesons to bring additional scale and experience to its focus on the sector.

Their appointments as partners follow the recent arrival of Iain Hindhaugh, also a real estate development and property investment specialist, into the firm’s real estate practice, which is one of the largest in the UK with 47 partners and more than 230 other lawyers. Addleshaw Goddard was ranked as a tier two firm for commercial property in London in the Legal 500 2016.

Leona Ahmed, head of real estate at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “We are delighted to have these partners join us. This latest investment is very much a part of our significant commitment to the real estate sector and consistent with Addleshaw Goddard’s wider strategic goals. We have for some time been looking to augment our team and the skills and profile of these partners are massively complementary to the existing team, as well as bringing new opportunities for the combined group.”

Over the last 12 months the real estate practice has reinforced its leading position in the Leeds and Manchester markets and has continued to develop a position of strength in the City, acting on some of the biggest and most high-profile projects for clients including British Land, Bruntwood, Hammerson, National Grid, Sainsbury’s, Travelodge, Threadneedle, Standard Life, Scottish Widows.
