Addleshaw Goddard signs up Hammonds’ construction team

Addleshaw Goddard’s Leeds practice has signed up a leading contentious construction team.

The five-partner construction, engineering and projects team from Hammonds in Leeds has joined Addleshaw Goddard. The appointments follow seven other high-profile lateral partner additions made by the firm since May 2003.

The Hammonds team is led by partners Simon Palmer and Mark Hilton. The pair will be accompanied by three partners, including Andrew MacCuish, Jonathan Tattersall and John Emerton, together withseven associates.

Malcolm Pike, managing partner in the contentious and commercial division, said: “We have identified exciting growth potential in the UK market, particularly in the PFI sector, as well as among international contractors where Simon and Mark’ team has already established a strong presence.

“We are delighted that we have been able to attract a respected team with a proven track record.”

The client base of Hammonds team’s includes AMEC, Henry Boot, Birse, Caddick, Edmund Nuttall, Hyundai and English Partnerships.
