Addleshaw Goddard strengthens real estate with new partners

Law firm Addleshaw Goddard has further expanded its London-based real estate team with promotions and key hires.

Hemal Kotecha and Peter Mason have both been promoted to partner with effect from 1 May. They join former King & Wood Mallesons managing partner William Boss, property partners Simon Tager and Michael Scott, and managing associate Luke Harvey (now partner), in bolstering AG’s top team.

The news follows AG’s Scottish merger with HBJ, which created the UK’s 15th largest legal firm, and now increases the number of real estate partners to 49.

Leona Ahmed, head of real estate at AG, said: “These promotions and hires underpin our commitment to growing our offer and ensuring our clients – whether they are institutions, listed companies, family offices or private investors – can receive top-tier service covering England and Scotland. The UK market continues to be in a state of flux, but we remain optimistic about the wealth of opportunity to create value and innovate. And our strategy is about expanding our in-house skill set and working closely across our specialisms so that real estate clients can benefit from our expertise in integrated corporate real estate, the use of technology, and all component parts of the real estate sector.”

The firm’s real estate practice acts for some of the foremost institutional investors, banks, developers and retailers, including: British Land, Hammerson, UPP, Threadneedle, Dandara, LondonMetric, Standard Life and Schroders.
