Ashurst appoints leading construction lawyer to real estate team

Ashurst has appointed leading construction lawyer Ann Minogue as a partner in its London real estate practice.

Minogue, who joins the firm from Linklaters, has over 20 years’ experience of advising on construction-related matters and has gained a reputation as a leader in the field. She has advised on some of the UK’s major construction projects, including the construction of the Channel Tunnel, Broadgate, Canary Wharf, The Royal Opera House and Tate Modern.

Described by Chambers & Partners as “a doyenne of the industry” it says “her dynamic personality and fantastic advice combine to draw a tremendous amount of work her way.”

Commenting on the appointment, Adrian Dear head of Ashurst’s real estate group said: “Our construction team has quickly established itself as a market-leading practice since the arrival of Marc Hanson in 2006. Ann’s appointment, which follows the promotion of Alex Cunliffe to the partnership last year, is another significant boost for our real estate group and our construction practice and I am very pleased to welcome her to the team.”
