Solicitor Berwin Leighton Paisner has announced that it will remain in its London Bridge offices but will refurbish more than one-third of the premises.
The law firm says that, having considered a number of options for a single-site development, its present dual location at Adelaide House and St Magnus House is “too attractive to give up”.
It will now renovate more than 95,000 sq ft of the 275,000 sq ft offices, providing desk space for an additional 300 people as well as extending the firm’s client suite.
Managing partner Neville Eisenberg said: “We found that our superb riverside location at London Bridge could not really be bettered.
“In addition, the flexibility that remaining at London Bridge offers the firm is valuable, particularly in view of its ongoing transformation and growth.”
Berwin Leighton moved into Adelaide House in 1970, with a mere 55 employees. In 2003, the firm added the St Magnus building, and now has 900 people working at the two sites.
