Candy brothers face $20.4m lawsuit

The Candy brothers are facing another legal headache on their ventures in Beverley Hills.


Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim’s banking group Grupo Financiero is suing Christian Candy’s Guernsey company CPC Group over costs related to a $356m loan.


Last year, CPC was served with a default notice on a debt that funded the acquisition of an apartment complex in Beverley HillsWiltshire Boulevard and had been trying to restructure the loan.


The latest suit demands payment of $20.4m.
