Churston Heard is suing the owner of factory outlet Junction One in Antrim, Northern Ireland, for £200,000 in allegedly unpaid letting fees.
Junction One’s partners include factory outlet specialist Guinea Group, Scottish property firm Dunalastair Estates and two Northern Ireland-based property developers, CUSP and Kennedy Group.
The first 150,000 sq ft phase, on Ballymena Road, began trading in May. Tenants include Marks & Spencer.
In a high court writ, specialist retail agency Churston Heard states that it has not received fees totalling £185,702. It is claiming more than £3,000 in interest.
According to the claim, Churston Heard’s former chairman, Roger Mountney, agreed a lettings commission of £1.50 plus VAT per sq ft with Guinea Group’s managing director, John Drummond.
Churston Heard was retained as agent with Lambert Smith Hampton, O’Connor Kennedy Turtle and Rohleder Lumby.
A spokesman for Junction One confirmed that it was in dispute with Churston Heard, but said it was inappropriate to comment further.
Churston Heard declined to comment.
