The Birmingham office of Clarke Willmott has recruited two partners from Reed Smith’s Coventry office to join its real estate and construction practice.
David Hayes, head of Reed Smith’s real estate department in the Midlands, and colleague Mary Anderson will head Clarke Willmott’s commercial property development practice in Birmingham.
The appointments of Hayes, who acts for UK developers in connection with office, leisure, retail and general commercial development projects, and Anderson, who specialises in commercial secured lending, reinforce Clarke Willmott’s intention to develop its Midlands practice from Birmingham.
Earlier this year the firm recruited property teams from Pinsent Masons and Laytons in Bristol, bringing to 10 the total number of property partners recruited to its Bristol, Birmingham and Southampton offices since January.
