Taboo to add trademarks

The High Court has ruled that including a trademark of another firm in your website’s meta tags – key words that describe the site to search engines – is trademark infringement, as it can take visits away from the website sought. Land Registry archives on-line

The Land Registry has appointed LASON to scan almost 10m archive documents into a computer database over the next four years. It intends to install online viewing of registers, title plans and documents.

Consolidation through outsourcing

Council maps out its region

East Lindsey council has installed a 100-user Geographic Information System that provides access to records of all 65,000 properties in the region. The software was provided by GGP Systems.
