The electronic notification of discharge service (ENDs) is to be withdrawn from Land Registry Direct on 3 January 2010.
Land Registry Direct is being decommissioned in the spring of 2010; affected lenders can sign up to its replacement, the Land Registry Portal, in order to continue discharging mortgages electronically via form e-DS1.
ENDs that have been transmitted before 3 January will remain on the old database until paper applications for discharge are received.
