Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner launches today as a financially integrated global law firm with a combined revenue of more than $900m (£640m).

The firm – formed by the merger of Bryan Cave LLP and Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (BLP) –  says that its vision is to create the world’s leading real estate sector business. It now can deploy a real estate department, led by global departmental managing partner Chris de Pury, supported by deputy Andrew Auerbach, with 369 lawyers across 20 offices worldwide.

“Creating Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has been a fantastic journey for us all,” said Lisa Mayhew, co-chair of the firm and managing partner of legacy BLP. “Our firms have come together with a commitment to serve our clients as one team.”

The firm’s global revenues rank it among the 50 largest law firms in the world, and it represents 53 of the top 100 Fortune 500 companies. In the past two years, it has advised clients on real estate projects valued at around $75bn in total.

BLP won Real Estate Team of the Year at the 2017 EG Awards, and ranked as a tier-one firm for commercial property in last year’s Legal 500.
