Forsters has strengthened its commercial real estate practice with the appointment of banking expert Robin Cole as a consultant.
Cole, who for the past nine years has been running his own practice in Mayfair, London W1 and was previously a partner at Hammonds and Richards Butler, has extensive commercial property experience, having acted for a variety of funds, developers and investors, and has particular expertise in advising overseas investors.
He has been instrumental in Forsters’ appointment to the panel for commercial real estate work for a new £100m fund launched by Mayfair Capital in August and backed by Schroders.
His appointment follows the recent recruitment of five new lawyers to Forsters’ property team.
Forsters’ head of commercial real estate, Howard Gill, said: “We are delighted that Robin has joined the firm and pleased that we are able to continue the expansion of the group.
“Robin’s appointment highlights our commitment to investing in our real estate practice so that it is well positioned to capitalise on the opportunities in the market.”
Cole commented: “Joining Forsters was an unmissible opportunity to be part of an ambitious, expanding firm with property at its heart.”
