The Home Secretary has brought a claim for damages for breach of contract and negligence in a £1m dispute over prison walls at Swansea Prison.
The claimant is seeking £1.22m from John Laing Construction over the design of external masonry walls during a building project at the prison between 1994 and September 1996
He is also seeking £1.2m damages from Roger Cockle and Percy Thomas, of Birmingham, Percy Thomas Partnership Ltd, of Victoria Street, Nottingham, Percy Thomas Partnership Architects Ltd, of Newcombe House, London W11, and Julian Cockayne, of London, in relation to the supervision of the scheme.
No other details of the claim have been given.
