The Land Registry has published a consultation paper containing draft rules governing the role of the adjudicator, created under the Land Registration Act 2002, which will come into existence in October 2003.
One of the adjudicator’s functions will be to determine disputes arising out of applications to the Land Registry, where it is not possible for the parties to reach agreement. The rules deal with the process by which the disputes are referred to the adjudicator.
The consultation paper can be viewed by clicking here. The closing date for responses is 28 March 2003.
