Law firm to become McGrigors

McGrigor Donald and KLegal have announced that, with effect from 2 February 2004, the firm will become McGrigors.

The move will result in a common name across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and will pave the way for the pending separation, for regulatory reasons, of KLegal from KPMG.

The firm has announced that Philip Burroughs, head of real estate, will manage the London office, following Nick Holt’s departure.

Colin Gray, chief operating officer at McGrigors, said: “Having one common name across the firm naturally has many advantages. It will give greater clarity and continuity to our profile, and both client and staff research has shown that McGrigors is a popular choice.”
