The House of Lords is expected to deliver a thorough review of tolerated trespasser laws in a series of joined appeals next week.
On Wednesday, judgment in three cases will be handed down by the law lords:
Porter v Shepherds Bush Housing Association [2008] EWCA Civ 196; [2008] 2 EGLR 125 is concerned with whether assured tenancies give rise to tolerated trespassers.
White v Knowsley Housing Trust [2007] EWCA Civ 404; [2007] 2 EGLR 61; [2007] 30 EG 134 concerns whether an assured tenancy comes to an end on the date specified in a possession order.
Islington London Borough Council v Honeygan-Green [2008] EWCA Civ 363; [2008] 2 EGLR 133 deals with the revival of a right to buy with the restoration of a secure tenancy and the relevance of previous steps in the right-to-buy process.
