The new Land Registration Fee Order 2006 (SI 2006/No 1332), which will increase the fees for searches, official copies and inspections, has been laid before parliament.
The 2006 Order replaces the 2004 Order and is the first to increase fees since 1993. It will come into force on Monday 7 October and implements the following key changes:

In addition, the fee for official copies of leases will increase from £4 to £20, reflecting the larger document size and higher handling costs relating specifically to leases.
