New London partners for Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw

Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw has announced the appointment of six new partners to its London practice, as part of 33 promotions worldwide.

Bruce Bloomingdale (finance), James Dodsworth (real estate), Louise Hobbs (employment), Tim Nosworthy and Michael Wallin (corporate) and Stephen Woodward (litigation and dispute resolution) start their new roles in January.

They bring the number of partners at the firm’s London office to a total of 101.

James Dodsworth, the new partner in the real estate practice, joined MBRM in 2001 after qualifying at Freshfields in 1996.

He advises institutional investors, corporate and retail end users, and multi-national corporations on a variety of high-value commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and the property aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

He recently advised Unilever on its disposal of Unilever House to Sloane Blackfriars Ltd, and acted for Puma in relation to its new European design headquarters.

Senior partner Paul Maher said: “The appointment of 33 partners across eight offices highlights both the international nature of our practice and our intention to continue to grow our practice organically.

“Having proved themselves to be both excellent lawyers and highly effective client communicators, these six appointments in London will bring the number of partners to 101. I look forward to their continued success as part of our dynamic practice.”
