Norton Rose Fulbright combines with US-based firm

Law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has completed a combination with Chadbourne & Parke, augmenting its global offering to a total of around 4,000 lawyers in 59 offices and 33 countries.

The move sees Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) – a tier two firm for commercial property in last year’s Legal 500 – combine with Chadbourne & Parke, an international law firm with deep roots in New York and Washington DC.

As a result, NRF says it has enhanced capabilities in areas including project finance, bankruptcy, litigation, white collar disputes and tax, as well as deepening the firm’s offering in key sectors like energy, infrastructure and finance. Following the combination, NRF will be among the 25 largest law firm offices in New York City.

Peter Martyr, NRF’s global chief executive, said: “Bringing together Norton Rose Fulbright and Chadbourne will enable Norton Rose Fulbright to provide even greater breadth and depth of services to our clients. We now offer enhanced capabilities in New York and Washington, DC, while our global platform expands to Mexico City, São Paulo and Istanbul.”
