PP 2003/45

A new trade organisation, the Council of Property Search Organisations (CPSO), has been established to serve the property search industry. The industry has undergone a great deal of structural change in recent years: the privatisation of many data providers (leading to what one famous organisation recently reformed as a not-for-profit company euphemistically called a “disaggregation” of its data); and, now, the arrival of NLIS and online searching. CPSO intends to be fully involved both in assisting in the management of that change and in policy and other initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of the property buying process.
