PP 2003/67

The Planning Inspectorate’s planning portal, in addition to offering an existing weekly e-news service, will soon provide a planning casework service, to be used by anyone who wants to make an appeal under planning or listed building legislation. It will encompass search facilities to find appeals using different criteria, and will provide progress-tracking information once appeal documentation has been submitted.
At present, the Planning Inspectorate is conducting a three-month trial of the service, during which it aims to process between 100 and 150 cases. It anticipates that the service will be rolled out progressively from February 2004.
